Cow-cow-cow-cow-cow-uh cow-uh

We have a rule that we will no longer pick up animals from parking lots or on the side of the road (those of you who have met our animals can understand the need to implement this rule). But this weekend we found a juvenile pied-billed grebe, sans wing, flopping about our street and we couldn’t just leave him there. Thankfully we found a wildlife rescue organization to take him. Project Wildlife is run completely by volunteers, and even though they are currently feeding 200+ orphaned baby birds by hand every 35-45 minutes 24 hrs a day they still took in our little grebe and are nursing him back to health. Although, I imagine life for a one-winged migratory bird will be kinda tough.

JB was in San Diego this weekend so we hung out at the beach in PB, played disc golf in Balboa Park, and saw a sweet band at the Alibi. Tonight is $1 fish tacos at Terra (yum yum) and tomorrow night we have tickets to see Death Cab & Spoon.
